Established in 1994 as ‘Al Abdullatif Backing Plant’ , Eastern Textile Company (ETEX), has come a long way. Today, ETEX is the largest carpet backing manufacturer outside USA and Europe. This rapid expansion was done due to fast growing demand for ETEX top quality backing fabrics, mainly in the export markets.

While production capacities have been expanded regularly, over the years , investments were also made in integrating the whole process, both backward and forward, from extrusion to the final packing. This gives the company, excellent control over the entire production process, apart from being highly cost effective.

ETEX exports are all over the globe ranging from USA in the west to New Zealand in the East, in a total of 27 countries. ETEX products can be found in almost all the carpet purchasing countries. It is quite possible that the carpet under you has a backing produced by ETEX.

In view of the rapid increase in demand for ETEX backings, management has decided to double its production capacity during 2006-07. This in itself is a solid proof of high quality backings produced in this plant.
